I was inspired by the simple elegance of the eight I Ching trigrams (Fire, Wind, Water, Earth, Mountain, Lake, Thunder, Heaven), each representing a basic force of nature using a different combination of three broken or whole lines. This series places these trigrams at the centre of various natural and urban scenes I’ve captured on film to draw out the elements that texture our environments.
