Description>
Distinctive, handmade earrings inspired by abacus beads in Lilac.Easy-to-wear statement pieces, made of lightweight polymer clay with surgical stainless steel ear posts. Qlemontines are designed and made in my home studio by the Grand Union Canal in Brentford, London. They draw from shapes and colours that have inspired me – everything from Moroccan architecture to the tropical waters of Malaysia.
Each Qlemontine starts as a mix of clay colours to develop the right hues. Next I roll, hand-cut, sand, buff and assemble finished pieces using goldplated, stainless steel or brass jump rings and earring posts.
