Steph Assez is a collage artist and embroiderer based in Forest Hill, Southeast London. Working with vintage photographs, paper ephemera and found objects, she transforms forgotten materials into playful, surreal and story-led artworks. Her work ranges from intricate paper collages to miniature artworks created inside vintage matchboxes and other found objects. Drawn to materials that already carry a history, Steph uses collage, embroidery and hand-drawn details to give them an unexpected new life.
